Day Seven This was an off day. After the excitement of the previous two days, we decided just to take it easy and try to set up for later in the week. We only did 282 miles from Independence, MO to Great Bend, KS. Also, as Murphy's law would have it, there was a moderate risk in western New York... go figure. We arrived in Great Bend around 5:30pm CDT and celebrated our tornado with a wonderful steak dinner at the Page Restaurant. I have no idea what this thing is, but it was parked in a lot next to our hotel. I believe we counted 64 wheels on the truck. Chasing isn't vey glamorous when there is no weather :)
